Besides the control panel for configuring the work place, provisions can also be added to cater for peripherals. This could include recesses or additional levels. ELECTRICITY AND DATA It is essential to effectively incorporate electricity and data features into the 24-hour work place. Electricity sockets, possibly featuring data connections, can be placed prior to installation so they can be connected to the network immediately when the work places are delivered. It is also possible to place electricity/data modules on (top of) the worktop. The number of required positions is established in advance together with the ICT department in question. WIRE MANAGEMENT Well-guided and concealed wires are essential due to the use of multiple monitors and the amount of equipment and peripherals on and around the work place. On the one hand, the 24-hour work place must be wire-free so that activities are not hindered. On the other hand, in case of emergencies, it must be easy for the ICT department to quickly and easily replace equipment and wires.
